Knack finishes the Playoff Competition with a 3-0 win over Lennik!

|
It was all about securing that first place in the playoff competition to start the final at home against Maaseik.
Everybody knew that tonight's match was going to be an exciting one since it was also important for Lennik so that they did not drop in the general standings that would determine the European competition for next season.
The first set was a relatively easy one for Knack overpowering and pressuring Lennik a lot to take that first set with a score of 25-19.
The second and third set proved to be a better show and a tougher competition for our guys in blue since Lennik got a good groove in service that made things more difficult for Knack. At the end and by proving that they never quit our guys were able to finish the match with scores of 27-25 and 31-29. For stats of the match click here.
Now Knack has to refocus and aim solely at their only opponent left in front of them for the 2009-2010 season, NOLIKO Maaseik. The Final starts in Schiervelde this coming Sturday at 8:30 pm and it is a traditional best of 5 matches. This final as did the whole playoff promises to be a really exciting one since both teams are quite equal and both teams never quit trying whenever they find themselves down and almost out. Hope to see you all there to support our guys in blue and to put some extra pressure on Maaseik.

Knack wins 1-3!!!
Knack goes to Maaseik and takes it to them winning 1-3 and clinching for now the first place in the play offs and also a Champions League ticket for the team next season.
Not the best of games technically from either side but an exciting one nonetheless and what an exciting finish to a well contested match.
The scores at the end were 14-25, 25-17, 23-25, 26-28. This result and the combination of the loss of Lennik against Antwerp gives both Maaseik and Roeselare the Champions League ticket for next season and a place in the final to see who will be the Champion this 2009-2010 season.
Knack is close to clinching home advantage and they should do it when Lennik comes next Wednesday to Roeselare for the last playoff match before the final starts on Saturday. Knack on paper needs a single point to clinch the home advantage in that final. Let's all be there and support a team that has done something really special even though they have been seriously crippled for the entire play offs. Congratulations to everybody involved in the club, let's enjoy this victory and its repercussions for a moment but do not forget what is still coming ahead for our guys in blue. |

Knack comes back from Halen with 3 points!
|
Knack keeps surviving the situation where they find themselves in because of injuries and is at the verge of reaching what looked to be an impossible goal at the begining of the Play Offs, to reach the final.
With two matches left Knack is still sharing the first place with Noliko Maaseik and we all know that only the first two teams will dispute the final in a week and a half.
Tonight our guys in blue had the difficult task of going to Halen and facing a team that always plays good volleyball against our guys. The first set proved to be as expected where Halen jumped on Knack and never looked back taking it 25-16. Our guys recovered their composure and played better from then on and at the end and after a scary 3rd set they come back to Roeselare with 3 important points that help them in their bid to the final. Final scores of the match were 25-16, 10-25, 27-29, 19-25.
Now Knack goes to Maaseik this coming Saturday to see who will be the sole leader of the playoffs and will probably gain home advantage in the finals.
