All the Knack players expected a very difficult match when they had to go and face a team that in this moment is considered one of the best ones in the world and this time we can say that with proof.  Trentino Volley is the actual world club champions.

Trentino showed that they have quite a lot of quality and seemed to breeze through the first set taking it 25-19.  Blocking was a key for the result in that set where our guys in blue had to adjust as fast as possible to the best block they had faced so far this season.

The second set showed a better fight and that made it an interesting match for all the fans in attendance in PalaTrento and also to all those watching it on TV both in Italy and in Belgium where the match was being televised live.  Knack put a great set together and took it with a score of 21-25.

After that second set our guess is that the Trentino players decided to kick it up a notch and started putting quite some more pressure with their service which in turn made things really hard for Knack to consistently side out in the 3rd set dropping it with a score of 25-18.

The fourth set again showed signs of a quality battle when Knack had an early lead  and by the second technical timeout they were even leading 12-16 but then Trentino made things closer and when the set hit the 20's they were back within a point at 20-21.  From then on it seemed that the Trentino servers had found a great rhythm and decided to finish it with some impressive services taking that 4th and last set with a score of 25-22.

Overall, Knack's showing might have been seen as a great one since they made Trentino Volley play and at moments they had to really play at a high level but form inside the team we can say that the feeling is that more could have been done and that is the idea for next Wednesday when they face them again but this time in Belgium.  We all know that Trentino will come to Belgium decided and focused on wining those 2 sets they need as fast as possible to make it to the next Champions League round but Knack will try first of all to play better individually and second as a team to really try to get that result.  We will see what happens but one thing is for sure, you don't want to miss the chance of witnessing some of the best players in the world next Wednesday in Schiervelde.  Hope to see you all there.
